What you will learn
Get an overview of all the control units and the electric installation. Learn how to use your plant automation and your control system efficiently - applying and improving the automation knowledge for higher availability and reduction of down-time in your production plant.
One part will be theoretical training. In the other part you will spend time at our fully operational school mill, where you will learn in practical situations, to operate the plant control and experience fault finding situations. You also have access to the latest milling machines and automation systems for a close-up look at how they work.
Required skill level
Basic knowledge of electrical installation, PC and PLC, basic process technology knowledge.

Roman Dürr
Milling Academy
Roman covers all aspects of automation from installation to maintenance and advanced process plant operation. He trains at our Milling Academy and onsite.
Roman started his career with an apprenticeship, followed by a bachelor’s degree in automation. He is experienced in software development and worldwide project management. He started training with us and at the Swiss Milling School in 2006.
Infrastructure and amenities
Milling Academy
You will be based at our Milling Academy hall. Your classroom is situated right next to our milling floor, where you can explore and have a close-up look at many of our latest milling machines.
School mill
Gain practical experience at our fully operational and fully equipped school mill. Use many of the latest milling machines and come to understand how they operate in a normal industrial environment.
Break room
Spacious and comfortable room for breaks, including complimentary tea and coffee
